Why should I pay my dues? The CCCBA dues serve a crucial role in supporting the operations, initiatives, and advocacy efforts of the Cape Cod Charter Boat Association.

What Do My Dues Go Towards

  1. Advocacy and Legislation: CCCBA actively engages in advocating for fair and equitable legislation concerning charter boat operations and sportfishing. Dues contribute to these advocacy efforts, ensuring that the voice of charter boat captains is heard and their interests are protected at both state and federal levels.
  2. Safety and Training Programs: The association actively commits to promoting safety in the use and operation of boats. Not only do dues contribute to safety and training programs that benefit members, providing resources and knowledge, but they also enhance safe practices in the industry.
  3. Community Events and Meetings: CCCBA organizes monthly meetings and events to facilitate networking among members, discuss industry issues, and provide a platform for sharing insights. Dues help cover the costs associated with organizing these gatherings, creating a sense of community among charter boat captains.
  4. Website Maintenance and Communication: The CCCBA website serves as a vital hub for information, resources, and communication among members and the broader community. Dues contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the website, ensuring that members have access to up-to-date information and resources.
  5. Using Dues for Educational Resources: The association may use dues to develop and provide educational resources for members, including workshops, seminars, and guest speakers. What’s more, these resources aim to enhance the professional development of charter boat captains and keep them informed about industry trends and regulations.
  6. Promoting Sustainable Practices: Lastly, CCCBA actively dedicates itself to promoting sustainable practices in sportfishing. Dues support initiatives that raise awareness of environmentally friendly practices and contribute to the preservation of marine ecosystems.
