It’s time to find out more about us. Welcome to the Cape Cod Charter Boat Association – Promoting Safety, Sustainability, and Recreation on the Waters of Cape Cod.

Founded in 1959, the Cape Cod Charter Boat Association has been dedicated to fostering safety in the use and operation of all forms of boats, promoting sport fishing in the waters surrounding or near Cape Cod, and encouraging the business of carrying passengers for hire, specifically for sport fishing.

Our Mission

At the heart of our organization is the commitment to advancing safety standards in boating, and supporting sustainable practices in sport fishing. Creating a thriving community of charter boat captains on Cape Cod. We strive to be the voice of charter boat captains in the regulatory processes at the state and federal levels. This includes US Coast Guard regulations. The Association actively collaborates with similar organizations to advocate for fair and equitable legislation concerning charter boat operations and sportfishing.

Membership and Collaboration

The Association welcomes members from all corners of Cape Cod and the islands who share our passion for responsible boating and sport fishing. We believe in strength through unity and, as such, may take membership in national, international, statewide, or local groups if it aligns with our overarching mission.

Monthly Meetings and Networking Opportunities

Our monthly meetings serve as a forum for discussing issues vital to the sportfishing industry, with a focus on matters directly impacting the Cape Cod area. We host guest speakers who provide insights into the current issues of the day, ensuring our captains are well-informed and empowered to navigate the evolving landscape of their profession.
